The environment will be the focus at Queen’s for five days as the university marks Sustainability Week with a series of events from Sunday, Oct. 2 to Thursday, Oct. 6.

The Queen’s Sustainability Office and the AMS Commission of Environmental Affairs , along with student sustainability leaders and groups, including the QBACC, STRIVE, Earth Centre, Bikes & Boards, ASUS, ENGSOC and Greenovations, have put together five sustainability-themed days – Explore, Move, Act, Eat and Connect.

The goal of each day's activities is to provide participants with information about ways they can live more sustainably both on campus and at home.

"Sustainability Week is now in its fifth year and it continues to be a fantastic collaborative effort between students and staff, which celebrates sustainability on campus and seeks to highlight the great efforts and activities that are ongoing within our community," says Aaron Ball, Sustainability Manager.

Highlights this year include a tour to the Queen's Biology Station, a career networking event, an alternative transportation hub and a political debate. Check out the events calendar for a list of all the activities or follow the Sustainability Week event on Facebook for all the details.
