For visitors to Kingston looking for accommodations during the busy summer tourist season, Queen’s University offers convenient and reasonably-priced options.
Located in a beautiful setting close to downtown, Queen’s Housing and Ancillary Services offers accommodations from May 6 to Aug. 26, including, for a second year, a premium option at the university’s newest residences.
Housing and Ancillary Services invites members of the Queen’s community to tour the accommodations offered at Smith House. The open house will take place on May 11 from 11 am-2 pm.
Housing and Ancillary Services has operated residence buildings as summer accommodations for 30 years, but for the first time last year offered an upgraded product in David C. Smith House. Building on that success, the operation has expanded to include Brant House. Both residence buildings opened in the fall of 2015.
“As the Summer Kingston tourism market continues to grow, our accommodation product fulfills the increased demand in the Kingston summer marketplace," says Nicole Braatz, Manager, Sales and Marketing, Queen’s Housing and Hospitality Services. "Offering a competitive priced product and a convenient location, close to downtown and other attractions is well received by those who stay with us."
Visitors can rent a two-bedroom, air-conditioned unit that includes a private washroom. Each bedroom has one extra-long double bed, flat screen television and mini-fridge. Complimentary WiFi is included in the package.
There is a common room on each floor and each building offers a lobby computer business centre and 24-hour front desk access.
Queen’s accommodations are ideal for on-campus conferences, sports teams, weddings, long-term and hospital stays as well as casual guests.
More information about all of Queen’s summer accommodation options can be found on the Event Services website. Accommodations can be booked online or by calling (613) 533-2223 ext. 0, as well as through Expedia.ca or Booking.com
