Queen’s University and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 901, Unit 1, representing Graduate Teaching Assistants and Teaching Fellows, reached a tentative collective agreement on Monday, November 25th. Negotiations for this collective agreement began in April, 2013.
“Through the hard work of the parties we were able to reach a tentative agreement that is acceptable to both the PSAC and the University,” said Dan Bradshaw, Associate Vice-Principal (Faculty Relations).
The tentative agreement will now proceed through the ratification process, including meetings of the PSAC Unit 1 membership and a subsequent ratification vote. Once finalized by the parties, the first collective agreement will be posted on the university’s Faculty Relations and Human Resources websites.
In late October, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Local 901, Unit 2 and the University ratified a first collective agreement for Postdoctoral Fellows.
