Queen's providing support to those affected by fire

UPDATED DECEMBER 18 AT 11:30 AM:

Students who are affected by the fire at Princess and Victoria Streets can contact Campus Security for support at (613)533-6111, 24 hours a day.
 
An area around the fire site, where a privately owned housing complex was being built, remains evacuated today. The current evacuation perimeter is: Victoria to the east, Macdonnell to the west, Durham to the south and South Bartlett Street to the north. 
 
Exams are running as scheduled. Students in need of an exam deferral or other accommodations should contact their course instructor. The Office of the University Registrar is also available to provide advice and assistance. 
 
If you are in need of emotional support, please contact Campus Security to be linked to Health, Counselling and Disability Services.
 
The city is still encouraging people to stay away from the area.

An area around the fire site, where a privately owned housing complex was being built, remains evacuated today. The current evacuation perimeter is: Victoria to the east, Macdonnell to the west, Durham to the south and South Bartlett Street to the north. The evacuation perimeter will continue to move as the situation changes.

If you are a Queen's student who needs emergency shelter or food please contact Campus Security; you can also go to the alumni lounge located on the first floor of the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC).

The university will also offer assistance to students with exams who are impacted by the fire.
