Queen’s University professor and Killam Prize winner John McGarry (Political Studies) participated in the second annual Killam Prize Symposium at Rideau Hall last week. The event was hosted by the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada and the topic was: What do you see in everyday life that others do not see? What is significant but most of us are missing it?
Dr. McGarry, who earned the Killam Prize for his research on power-sharing and conflict resolution, was joined by the four other 2013 winners. The moderator of the discussion was Paul Kennedy, host of CBC’s Ideas, which will broadcast the one-hour event on Friday, Nov. 29 at 9 pm.
