Employees who want to hone their skills, gain insight into topics like diversity in the workplace and internationalism, or incorporate sound wellness practices into their daily routines, can find plenty of classes on offer through the Human Resources 2013-14 Learning Catalogue.
“The Learning Catalogue provides a wealth of offerings, customized for Queen’s employees, that can help them achieve their professional and personal goals,” says Shannon Hill, Learning and Development Specialist. “I’d encourage everyone to take a look at the wide variety on offer this year.”
In addition to individual classes, the Learning Catalogue features five certificate programs, including two focused on developing skills for administrative professionals, one promoting better workplace communications, another around developing international perspectives, as well as the new From Diversity to Inclusion in the Workplace certificate, which launched in January.
“Our certificate programs are a great way to develop knowledge and skills in a particular area,” adds Ms. Hill. “Employees can also sign up for the individual classes or participate in our popular Lunch & Learn series.”
The Lunch & Learn series offers informative sessions around wellness, and other important life and workplace topics, over the lunch hour. Topics range from yoga and nutrition, to financial tips and retirement planning.
