Queen's planning partners working to update the Campus Master Plan (CMP) will be on-hand to hear your feedback during an open house scheduled for May 23.
The Campus & Community Open House #1 is the first of two open houses that will welcome the Queen's and Kingston communities to share their experiences and suggestions for the Queen’s campus.
"We hope that everyone who has an interest in how our campus will develop over the next 10 to 15 years will come out to the open house," says Jo-Anne Brady, Vice-Provost (Planning and Budgeting). "This is an opportunity to learn about the CMP team's initial findings and provide feedback directly to our consulting team."
Queen’s is working to update its CMP and provide an engaging and attainable vision for how the university will develop over the coming years. Over the past six months the CMP project team and its planning partners, led by Urban Strategies Inc., have been gathering data and consulting broadly across the university and in the community. Recent events included a Plan Your Campus information exchange at the Queen’s Centre and a vision workshop with representatives from the university and Kingston communities.
The feedback received to date has been compiled and the CMP team is ready to present its initial findings and preliminary directions for the updated CMP. The open house is intended to provide an open, informal forum for everyone to learn about these findings and directions and to provide feedback to the planning team.
The Campus & Community Open House #1 will be held on May 23 in the Stauffer Library loggia (lobby). Everyone is invited to drop in anytime between 2 and 6 pm. A second open house will take place in October.
