Students accept certificates for the fellowships or internships they received this year.

Undergraduate students who received opportunities to undertake research through either the Undergraduate Student Summer Research Fellowship (USSRF) or the Matariki Undergraduate Research Network (MURN) Internship were honoured at a reception this week.

Principal Daniel Woolf and Steven Liss, Vice-Principal (Research), both spoke at the event, emphasizing the wonderful experiences these programs provide and how transformational they can be in helping students shape their future careers. In their remarks, they also recognized the importance of undergraduate contributions to Queen’s research program and the importance of the Matariki internship in building Queen’s international presence.

The MURN Internship is the result of Queen’s partnership in the Matariki Network of Universities and aims to provide students in all disciplines the opportunity to have an authentic research experience while broadening their international perspectives. More information

The USSRF is an opportunity for students in social sciences, humanities, business and education to develop research skills under the guidance of a faculty researcher. More information
