This week the Faculty of Arts and Science hosted a special reception at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre for students who earned a spot on the dean’s honour list with distinction. 302 students with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 or higher in the 2012-13 academic year made the list. Of these students, 28 had a GPA of 4.3, meaning they achieved an average grade of 90% or greater.

Susan Mumm, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Science, spoke at the event, congratulating students on their academic success. Margaret Little, a professor in the Departments of Political Studies and Gender Studies, also addressed the group, giving a talk on poverty reduction and building an inclusive society.

Heads and undergraduate chairs from the faculty’s 27 departments attended the event.
