This course is apart of the Certificate in Workplace Communications (CWC), which provides a solid background in all aspects of communication in the workplace.
The ability to communicate is critical to everyone in an organization. Effective interaction with co-workers, managers, students and internal and external 'customers' is based on sound communication techniques. This certificate program will enable employees to improve their written, verbal, non-verbal and interpersonal communication at work.

this course in particular you will learn how to master e-mail conventions such as jargon and etiquette, project a professional image, simplify and clarify your e-mail by choosing the right words, write persuasively so that people act quickly, and structure your e-mail messages for impact. You will also learn the do's and don'ts for protecting personal and confidential information, as well as tips on managing e-mail messages as university records.
