Sustainability at Queen's

This learning session provide staff and faculty with an overview of sustainability initiatives at Queen’s, and highlight opportunities to get involved in creating a culture of sustainability on campus and beyond. Participants have the option of joining a growing community of practice focused on fostering engagement, raising awareness and inspiring action on topics such as energy conservation, waste reduction and alternative transportation.
Each session includes a case study, and a combination of three of the following elements:
An overview of the projects and initiatives led by the Queen’s Sustainability Office
A guest speaker (e.g., Hospitality Services, Strategic Procurement Services)
A green campus tour, highlighting energy conservation initiatives and innovative infrastructure at Queen’s
A round-table discussion with an Elder from the Office of Indigenous Initiatives to explore sustainability concepts through an Indigenous worldview
