DAN SCHOOL PERFORMANCE SPOTLIGHT 2019 BRINGS TOGETHER ALUMNI JAZZ MUSICIANS FOR A SPECTACULAR NIGHT OF BLUES AND BIG BAND CLASSICS
On February 8, 2019, the DAN School of Drama and Music at Queen’s University will present two outstanding jazz ensembles performing Blues in the Night: an evening of blues, ballads and big band classics. The event features an ensemble of past members of the Queen’s Jazz Ensemble who will reconvene on the Isabel Concert Hall stage for an evening of swingin’ jazz and blues. The alumni, all currently performing career musicians, are returning to Queen’s from Toronto, Montreal, Kingston, New York, and Kalamazoo. In addition to the Alumni Band, the current DAN School Jazz Ensemble will perform.
Blues in the Night will take place in the Concert Hall of the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts on February 8, 2019, at 7:30 pm. Bar service will be available before the event and during intermission. A reception to meet the performers will take place following the performance.
