Please join us for a special guest presentation by Dr. Robin Urquhart, entitled “Cancer survivorship research: working together to optimize survivor and health system outcomes”. This event is free, and open to all.
Dr. Robin Urquhart is an Associate Professor and Ramia Scientist in the Department of Surgery at Dalhousie University. She is also a Senior Scientist with the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute and an Affiliate Scientist at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Focused on cancer care, she studies issues around access to and quality of care, improving patient and family outcomes and experiences, and how we can more effectively move research evidence into clinical practice and healthcare policy. In 2016, Dr. Urquhart was asked by the Canadian Cancer Research Alliance, an alliance of >35 cancer research funders in Canada, to lead the development of the Pan-Canadian Framework for Cancer Survivorship Research. Alongside other national, peer-reviewed funding, she also holds a CIHR Foundation Grant focused on cancer survivorship research.
