The lecture will be presented in English. A question period will follow, and questions can be asked in both official languages.
Col (ret’d) Rakesh Jetly is an internationally recognized expert in military and veterans’ mental health, suicide prevention, and PTSD. Former Chief of Psychiatry for the Canadian Armed Forces, he continues an impressive research career and he is now a co-investigator in multiple studies focusing on innovative treatments for mental health disorders including psychedelic assisted psychotherapy. Among many roles, he serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Mydecine Innovations Group, he is an advisor with the United Nations focusing on the development of a Mental Health Strategy for Uniformed Peacekeepers and he is the Mental Health Advisor for the Canadian Institute for Military and Veteran Health Research.
