We’re having our Robotics and AI Symposium on Oct 13, 2022, from 9am – 4pm. It’s a great opportunity check out what our researchers are working on and interact with our group.

Keynote Speaker: Ryan Gariepy, CTO of Clearpath Robotics and OTTO Motors will be our keynote speaker.

Robotics debate, “A Future of Cyborgs: Would you trade your biological parts for bionic ones?”, will feature Lane Desborough, CEO of Nudge BG (insulin delivery), and Dr. Audrey Sedal (McGill University, Soft Robotics).

AI Robotics Debate, “AI Work: Will AI take most of the existing jobs from humans?”, will feature Dr. Parinaz Sobhani, Head of Applied Research at Georgian, and Dr. Sedef Akinli Kocak, Director of Professional Development at the Vector Institute.

We’ll also have Robotics and AI poster competitions featuring some of our student researchers.

We’ll be holding the symposium in our lab space in Mitchell Hall, Room 395. It’s a great opportunity to see our facilities and learn about the type of work we have been doing. More details and registration are here:
