Session Description:

Learn more about the purpose of rubrics in assignment design, evaluate a variety of options to suit you and your students’ needs, and explore how to use a rubric alone or with a grading team for fair and effective assessment.

Institute Description:

The Writing Pedagogy Institute offers you the opportunity to infuse writing into your courses using evidence-based practices for writing pedagogy. Over two weeks of asynchronous activities and synchronous webinars, participants will explore topics related to writing instruction and course design, apply strategies to their own course contexts, and hear from faculty and staff involved with writing pedagogy on Queen’s campus. Robin will be available for individual consultations with participants throughout the two weeks the program is running.

Participants can pick and choose from Institute offerings, but those who attend all four webinars and complete the Feedback Fruits activity will receive a certificate of completion upon request.
