Declaration of The Báb commemorates the day in 1844 on which He announced his identity as The Báb, or Gate, the Herald of the new age. Religious accommodation may be required for this observance/holy day. Suspension of work/classes may be requested by observant.
Also known as Whitsunday in some Western churches, Pentecost is the commemoration of the coming of the Holy Spirit upon the disciples of Jesus following his ascension (Acts 2:1-11). It comes fifty days after Easter.
