"Black Pride & Belonging", the latest installment in the HREO's annual speaker series features prominent Queen's alum and Peel District School Board General Counsel Gigi Basanta alongside Queens' LLM candidate and executive member of Black Femme Legal, Samantha Peters.

Through engaged zoom discussion this event seeks to examine themes of race and sexuality within social, academic and legal institutions, with the goal of exploring ways to address discrimination and exclusion.

After-which, witness spoken word artist, Tedx speaker and Queen's alum Nirosha Balakumar deliver a riveting Instagram live performance at 1pm - 1:30pm, highlighting themes of art, activism and social change.
