Robin Chisholm was born on January 11, 1930 in London, Ontario and grew up in Hornpayne and Capreol, Ontario. He died on October 31, 1968 in Kingston, Ontario.
Known as Bob Chisholm at Queen's, he received his BSc in 1952 in Engineering Physics and his MASc and PhD from the University of Toronto.
He was Professor of Electrical Engineering at Queen's from 1956 to 1968 and his research was in radio astronomy.
He had five children with wife Aldwyth McCaul: David, Catherine, Sheila (d. 1964), Andrew, and Heather.
He is buried in the Cataraqui Cemetery.
