Biography

Michael Villeneuve received his Master of Industrial Relations and Human Resources from the University of Toronto. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Labour Studies from McMaster University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Brock University. In 2017 he was a co-winner of the Morley Gunderson Prize which recognizes and honours students or graduates who combine outstanding professional achievement with significant service to the Centre of Industrial Relations and Human Resources at the University of Toronto.

He has worked for the OPS in Treasury Board Secretariat and was a Director in the Centre for Public Sector Labour Relations and Compensation where he has led teams across a broad spectrum of labour relations functions including Union Management Relations, Grievance Management and Dispute Resolution, Advisory Services, Collective Bargaining and Contingency Planning. He has also led teams providing Human Resources Generalist services that include Consulting, Recruitment, Attendance Management and Employment transition.

Michael Villeneuve is currently Director (Faculty Relations), in the Faculty Office at Queen's University.
