Eric L. Jones (2005-2006)

Eric L. Jones is Professorial Fellow at Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne, Emeritus Professor at La Trobe University, and Visiting Professor at Exeter University. He received his doctorate in economic history from Oxford University, after which he taught at Northwestern University, Yale, Manchester, Princeton, University of Berlin and the Center for Economic Studies at Munich. Jones is the author of books including Cultures Merging: A Historical and Economic Critique of Culture (2006), The European Miracle: Environments, Economies, and Geopolitics in the History of Europe and Asia (1981), and many articles and books on economic history, economic development, international affairs, and environmental history.
