With several decades of experience working in the field of sustainable development in sites across Asia, Dr. Bernadette Resurrección brings valued expertise to the Department of Global Development Studies in her new role as a Queen’s National Scholar in Development in Practice. For undergraduate students, Dr. Resurrección offers a range of courses on topics such as development project planning, climate and disaster reduction, and gender and environment. At the graduate level, Dr. Resurrección has been teaching a core seminar on fieldwork methods. Department Head Dr. Marcus Taylor recently sat down for a short virtual chat with Dr. Resurrección about her important new book: "Negotiating Gender Expertise in Environment and Development: Voices from Feminist Political Ecology” (Routledge, 2020).
