Tool Overview:
Mentimeter is an interactive presentation, quiz, or survey where participants can provide real-time feedback or answers.

Advantages:
- Participants can advance through slides on their devices. This is enabled by creator through settings during slide creation: select Presenter pace (audience can only proceed in the presentation when you switch the slide) or Audience pace (the audience start from the first question and proceed at their own pace)
- Results can be shared in a variety of ways such as: Multiple choice questions, Scales, Wordcloud, Open ended Quiz.
Limitations:
- Freemium model; far more robust when paid account
- Primarily intended for synchronous use. There may be ways to integrate asynchronously, but it is unclear how this would work
- Integrations with applications such as: PowerPoint, Hopin, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, Free templates and visualizations.

Mentimeter offers an accessibility checker which can provide feedback on certain aspects such as text to background contrast. Text resizing can be performed in modern browsers.

Compatible Screen Readers:
- VPAT tested with Mac OS Sonoma with VoiceOver on both Safari and Chrome and iOS with VoiceOver. Note the VPAT only assess menti.com which is the student interface
Alt text is supported on images in this tool.
From the VPAT "Presenters and poll creators who upload images have the option to add text descriptions, also called alt text, to the image" which I respectively disagree IF it is displayed as a caption instead of Alt text... but this hasn't been tested
