As we head into our 2020-21 planning cycle, it is a good time to ask ourselves if our mission statement is embedded in every aspect of our work. Our mission statement is a short statement of why Advancement exists. Can you recite it? Is it reflected in all of our activities? I encourage you to bring our mission to the forefront during your planning discussions. Post it on your walls, vision boards, wipe boards. In your forward planning discussions, ask yourselves if what you are proposing for the next fiscal aligns with our mission. What are each and every one of us doing to advance our mission?

We’d love to know how you are keeping our mission alive. Please tell us and we will share your feedback in the next edition of ALTogether Now.

Take Advantage of DiSC

Carmen Vanderlinde on the Gift Planning team recently shared with her colleagues how her team is using DiSC to its full advantage. Carmen says, “One way to make the most out of your DiSC assessment is to run comparison reports with members of your team and other colleagues. Go to MyEverythingDisc.com to create your online profile and make yourself searchable to colleagues that may want to compare with you, too! Please note that this step must be completed to compare (even if you already have a DiSC report).”

Regional Strategy Update

A new year brings the next steps in Advancement Regional Strategy development. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the first call for the development of the Regional Strategy calendar. Nicole sent out a new call yesterday with an invite to submit details and updates by Jan. 22 (although updates are welcome anytime there is a new addition or change). Next up will be to finalize the data displays to support the market planning process and then market plan development will take place from February to April for key markets, with market leads guiding the plan development and identification of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each market.

Questions? Please be in touch with Liz Gorman and the Regional Strategy team.
