The Queen’s University Prizes for Excellence in Research are the highest form of research excellence recognition from Queen’s for research conducted at the University. The Prizes are awarded to outstanding Queen’s researchers and celebrate major research contributions either completed or recognized in recent years. Up to one prize in each of the following five categories may be awarded in any given year: Humanities; Social Sciences; Natural Sciences; Health Sciences; and Engineering. For a full description, please visit the URS website.
Research represents one of the most dynamic elements of the university enterprise at Queen's. The role of the Vice-Principal (Research) reflects the responsibilities associated with conducting and promoting research, and advancing the research activities that contribute to new discoveries and creative works, scientific and technical breakthroughs, advances in the social sciences and humanities, innovation, institutional reputation, and importantly to the education and training of both undergraduate and graduate students.
Whether you are a seasoned researcher, new to Queen's, a potential partner, or just visiting, I encourage you to explore our website.
