On the Day of the AppointmentClock and Calendar

  • Students must present their valid Queen’s Student Card as well as either their valid Provincial Health Care Card or University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) card. If you do not bring your card, you will have to pay for the visit. Click for more information on Health Insurance and Pricing for Uninsured Services.

  • Students are required to arrive 10 minutes early for all appointments to ensure time to update information and register.

  • First time students can speed up the registration process by printing the Pre-entrance and Email consent forms and bringing them filled out to their appointment.

  • First time international students can speed up the registration process by filling out the following forms and bringing them with you to their appointment: Pre-entrance, email consent, governing law and sunlife claim authorization form

  • Students from Quebec are covered by their provincial health insurance plan but are required to fill out an Out of Province Claim Forms for Quebec Residents for each visit for physician services. To save time at registration, these forms can be completed and signed beforehand and handed in at the time of the appointment.

  • Student Health has a team of nurses which allows us to complete most ordered bloodwork in clinic on the day of the appointment. On occasion when bloodwork is ordered and we are unable to complete it in the clinic, students will be sent with their blood requisition to a laboratory in the community. Please click here for Lifelabs locations.

  • Queen's has a convenient on-campus pharmacy called Drugsmart Pharmacy where students can go to pick up their prescriptions. It is located in the Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC)

If you need to cancel your appointment, 24 hours’ notice is appreciated. If we do not receive your cancellation within 24 hours, you may be charged the associated fee. Please see our No Show Policy for more information.
