Stress, Your Body & Self-Care
This workshop introduces students to the importance of self-care as a way of managing stress during the busy month of March and introduces students to stress management strategies with a focus on the physical body. Peer Health Educators will help you clear your mind and relax your body with the opportunity to try interactive stress busting activities such as deep breathing and stretching and will help explain self-care. You will have the opportunity to create your own self-care plan, and a self-care kit (make one for yourself and maybe one to give to a friend too!). After the 45 minute facilitated workshop, students are invited to stay and share some light healthy snacks and work on their own self-care and stress management plans.
Coping with Stress During Exams
This workshop focuses on practical ways of managing stress using emotional coping strategies and organizational strategies to help students during the busy month of March and during exams. Peer Health Educators will lead practical activities to demonstrate how to use emotion-focused coping techniques, such as gratitude, and relaxation activities to take care of yourself. After the 45 minute facilitated workshop, students are invited to stay and share some light healthy snacks and work on organizational strategies or self-care plans for the exam period.
