Steps to Re-registering

Follow the steps below for re-registering your accommodations for a new term.


Step 1: Have your Queen’s NetID and password handy

Step 2: Click on  Re-register now (on the Current and Returning Students page or on the right on this page)

Step 3: When you log in, you will be taken to the “Request for Accommodations” screen

Step 4: Click on ACCOMMODATIONS on the menu bar in the upper left

Step 5: Ensure the correct term is displayed (see box 1 below) – e.g. Fall 2017. If the term is incorrect, select the correct term and click Refresh

Step 6: Courses which you will need to register for will appear with text (see box 2 below):

Please click the 'Request' button to the right in order to complete the request process.

 

Step 7: Click on Request – you will be brought to the “Request Accommodations” screen (see box 3 below)

Step 8: Click to remove any accommodations you do not wish to use on the left hand side (see box 4 below)

Step 9: Click on each of the courses on the right-hand side to apply the selected accommodations to (see box 5 below)

Step 10: Indicate if your accommodations require changes (see 6)

Step 11: Read the consent for exchange of information

Step 11(a): Check the consent box after reading the applicable consent

 

Step 12: Click Submit

Step 13: The following message will be displayed depending on the status of your request and what you indicated for your accommodations (drop down box):

Step 13(a): “My accommodations are correct the way they are"
You will then be granted access to the “Get letter” button for the course and be able to download your LoA similar to the image below:

Sent: YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR. Please click the “Get Letter” button to the right and download your letter. E-mail a copy directly to the person listed in your course syllabus.

Step 13(b): “I need additional accommodations”

Pending: Please connect with our office to book an appointment with your advisor accessibility.services@queensu.ca

After revising your accommodations with an advisor, you may be approved for accommodations and can immediately download your LoA

Sent: YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR. Please click the “Get Letter” button to the right and download your letter. E-mail a copy directly to the person listed in your course syllabus.

OR you may be presented with the following message:

Pending: Your advisor has updated your accommodations. Please click the ‘request’ button to the right in order to complete the process to be able to provide your instructor with the new accommodation letter

You will then have to repeat steps 7 to 13 if the Request button is present
Step 13(c): “I need to change or remove an accommodation"

Pending: Please connect with our office to book an appointment with your advisor accessibility.services@queensu.ca

After revising your accommodations with an advisor, you may be approved for accommodations and can immediately download your LoA

Sent: YOUR ACCOMMODATIONS HAVE NOT BEEN SENT TO YOUR INSTRUCTOR. Please click the “Get Letter” button to the right and download your letter. E-mail a copy directly to the person listed in your course syllabus.

OR you may be presented with the following message:
