Note taking is an essential accommodation that ensures students with disabilities have access to important course material that they would not otherwise be able to access.
Student volunteer note takers, in taking and sharing their high quality lecture notes with QSAS, make a critically important contribution towards enhancing equity and access for students with disabilities at Queen's.
Benefits of volunteering as a note taker:
- Making important contributions towards an accessible, successful learning experience for other Queen's students
- Practicing and improving one's own note taking skills
- Better retention and attendance to course materials for one's own study
- A Letter of Recognition (signed by the Executive Director, Student Wellness Services) for regular and timely submission of notes throughout the term
