Queen's University

Mental Health Initiatives, Programs and Services

Queen's currently has a broad range of initiatives designed to help students, faculty and staff support those experiencing mental health problems. The following is just a sample of the resources available.

  • Pick up a green card for students that includes important phone numbers and guidance on how to help and friend and what to do in a emergency. Cards are distributed through residences and across campus and can be found at the Office of the Vice-Provost and Dean of Student Affairs (Gordon Hall 300), the AMS Peer Support Centre, HCDS (Lasalle Building), the SGPS, QUIC and the School of Graduate Studies (Gordon Hall 400).
  • Print our green folder to help identify and respond to students in distress

Education programs

Health, Counselling and Disability Services offers sessions for faculty, staff and students that range from a 45-minute awareness-raising workshop to the 2-day Mental Health First Aid certificate program.
