All persons undertaking "human subject research" under non-health sciences must receive ethics approval of the General Research Ethics Board (GREB). An ethics application must be filed by completing the GREB Standard Application Form in the Ethics Romeo System, and submitting all the required information to the Unit Research Ethics Board (UREB). Once all questions and concerns have been been addressed, GREB will issue an approval letter to start the research.

Applicants should allow the Unit Research Ethics Board (UREB) Committee a minimum of 15 working days to review their application and 6 weeks if a full General Research Ethics Board (GREB) review is required.
