Feb Dissertation Boot Camp - Best Camp Ever!
25 February 2014
What happens when you get 54 graduate students together to focus on their writing? One great Dissertation Boot Camp. That's what happened last week in Douglas Library, Harry Potter room. The camaraderie and focus of the group was outstanding. With some icebreaker exercises from Dr Deanna Mason (Writing Centre) and Liz Parsons (Learning Strategies) to start things off, the week helped steer the group into realising they can get their thesis/dissertation done, one chunk at a time. It also proved you are not alone and there are many groups on campus here to help you.
Our thanks go to the staff in Douglas Library for going out of their way to help us. Also a big thank you to Deanna, Liz, Reeju, Donna and all the consultants throughout the week.
The comments were positive and so grad students keep an eye out for when we open registration for June! Here are some happy photos at the end of camp.
