Signing students up for courses - Registration 2012/13
The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) has provided the following information to help you and your students get registered for the 2012/13 academic year.
July 9-August 6, 2012
All continuing graduate students will be enrolled in their thesis courses, if they were enrolled in the thesis course in Summer 2012, by OUR-Records.
July 7-August 31
In PeopleSoft, departments will enroll all new students in their thesis course and/or other courses leading to their degree. Enrolling students in courses outside the student’s home department or designated degree program, as well as in audited courses, will be processed by OUR-Records upon receipt of a signed Academic Change Form (ACF) from SGS.
OUR-Records will also enroll all new students in AODA-800.
September 1-October 12
Open enrollment continues. During the open enrolment period, departments can continue to enrol students in courses or remove them from courses, in PeopleSoft (with a few exceptions).
NOTES:
a. Students MUST be enrolled in at least one course in all three terms of 2012-13 in order to avoid delays in fee assessment and/or award payments. The thesis counts as a course.
b. Students with debt will not be enrolled in any courses by OUR-Records, and departments will not be able to enrol students with debt in their courses unless and until the debt has been cleared.
August 8-31
Students self- enroll in the Fall-Winter Payment Plan (PPL) through SOLUS. There will be 7 monthly payments beginning Oct 5. Students will be auto-rolled over in April 2013, for Summer 2013 PPL .
Students MUST enroll or re-enroll in the PPL every academic year if they want to pay their fees using this method. Students who will not enroll in a Payment Plan (PPL) and cannot pay their fees by September 1 must make alternate payment arrangements (APA) by August 15.
September 1
Except for students who have enrolled in the PPL, OR who have made alternate payment arrangements, Tuition and Student Assistant Levy (SAL) are due. Students who have not made APA, enrolled in the PPL or made payment in full by September 1, will be charged $150 late fee and will not be able to complete any enrollment activity.
September 6
New students pick up/validate Photo ID. NOTE: Students who have not paid tuition fees (or made payment arrangements) and/or are not enrolled will not be able to complete this step.
NOTE: Registration is considered complete only when tuition fees are paid (or fee payment method has been arranged) AND student is enrolled in at least one (1) course.
