Expanding Horizons Workshops 2012-13

All workshops will be in Career Services room 325A (3rd Floor Gordon Hall) from 4pm - 5.30pm, unless advised differently.

Registration (Moodle) – Graduate students need to register once for access to the Moodle system using their Queen’s Net-ID and password. Once in the system, students then register to have access to the SGS 001 Expanding Horizons “course” (listed under Graduate Studies in course categories, sub-category SGS) and it's workshops. Each workshop you wish to attend you need to sign up for it.  Find the “Face to Face” icon (bottom right column). Click on this to open up the full listing of workshops.  You will only be able to sign up for workshops in the current term.  Click into the workshop you wish to attend and sign up.

Students may add to or cancel their registration for a particular workshop at any time. There is no cost, but sign up is required in order to track participation, as well as to determine eligibility should you wish to go for the certificate in professional development.  If you need to cancel, please do so early, so that others can sign up.  In many workshops, numbers are restricted to the size of the classroom.

Expanding Horizons MOODLE URL address is: https://moodle.queensu.ca/login/index.php

For workshops hosted by QUIC, you will need to register directly with QUIC by sending an email with the session you wish to attend to quic.training@queensu.ca . QUIC will provide us the names of those who participated, so we can manually add you to our system.

For workshops hosted by MITACS, you will need to register directly with MITACS.  Each workshop has a different registration url so take care as to which you enrol in. Please use your Queen's email address or we won't be able to track you properly.  MITACS will provide us the names of those who participated, so we can manually add you to our system.

For workshops co-hosted between SGS and Queen's Student Alumni Association (QSAA), register using QSAA registration system. If you are new to their system, first register at: Queen's University Alumni Relations Event  Registration system. For subsequent times, a direct link to the event registration will be provided.

For workshops hosted by the joint initiative between the Human Rights Office, Human Resources & the Equity Office, you will need to register directly on the Human Resources website and go to the learning catalogue. Use your netID and password and register for the appropriate course.
