Transcript and Courier Charges

Transcript orders received before 9:00 p.m. EST are processed by the Office of the University Registrar (Records and Services) within 3 to 4 business days.

Please Note:  Effective January 7, 2014, a student's cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) will no longer appear on the Queen's University Official Transcript.  Requests for a formal letter indicating your cumulative GPA may be made by:

  • submitting an email to;
  • sending a letter to the Office of the University Registrar; or
  • in-person at Gordon Hall, Room 125

Holiday Closure

The Office of the University Registrar will be closed at 4:30 p.m. on December 21st and will re-open at 8:30 a.m. EST on January 2nd, 2019.

Transcript orders placed via the SOLUS Student Centre by 8:59 p.m. EST on December 19th will be processed in advance of the closure. Orders placed after this time will be processed by our staff upon their return and will take 3 to 4 business days.

If you plan to order your transcript for same day pick up service we are happy to provide this service up until our closure on December 21st. You may do this by coming into our office and placing your order by completing a form (not ordering via SOLUS).  Payment options are cash, cheque or debit.

Note:  Fall term grades will appear on official transcripts beginning January 12th.  Processing time for these orders will be 3 to 4 business days beginning January 15th.

Canada Post is working to stabilize operations after a series of rotating strikes. While normal operations are being restored, Canada Post anticipates significant delays and is suspending its delivery standard guarantees for all products until further notice.

The Office of the University Registrar continues to offer transcript ordering services.

  • For the fastest service, we recommend that you choose to pick up your document.
  • If physical delivery of your documents is required, you are encouraged to select the courier option when ordering your transcript.

Transcript Charges

The charge for each transcript is $15.00.

Please ensure appropriate payment is submitted. Overpayments will not be refunded.

Please be aware that the Office of the University Registrar assumes no liability for transcripts that have been sent by regular mail which are not delivered to their intended address. In such cases, the student assumes responsibility, and any replacement transcripts requested will be subject to the stated standard rate of $15.00 per copy.

Courier Rates

Please note that prices reflect each destination. For example, if sending transcript(s) to an Ontario address ($15.00) and sending transcript(s) to a USA address ($25.00), the total courier charges would be $40.00. Delivery time after a transcript is produced is usually 3 to 4 business days.

When selecting the courier option, please remember to:

1.  Include the telephone number for each courier destination; and,

2.  Include the civic (street) address for P.O. Box destinations.

Incomplete information may result in transcripts not being delivered to their intended destination.

Approximate Courier Delivery Times
  • Ontario: major cities by ground, usually next day delivery; rural and northern areas within approximately 2 days
  • Maritime Provinces: 2 days or more (ground shipment)
  • Quebec: usually next day; 2 days or more for northern areas (ground shipment)
  • Western Provinces (including British Columbia): up to 4 to 5 days (ground shipment)
  • USA: from next day to up to 5 days (air shipment)
  • Bermuda: 2 days (air shipment)
  • Great Britain: approximately 2 days (air shipment)
  • Most other European countries: approximately 3 days (air shipment)
Tracking Your Order

If you choose to have your transcript sent by courier, you can track your order by the following method:

1. Log in to your SOLUS profile via the MyQueens Portal in order to view your orders and obtain the tracking number for courier orders

2. Orders sent via regular mail or picked up in person will be available in 3 to 4 business days after the 'PRINT DATE' displayed in SOLUS. Please note that orders sent by regular mail (Canada Post) cannot be tracked by our office once they have been sent.
