Tuition Fee Payment Schedule

In order to help you better plan your student finances, please review the following information:

Deadline Date

Payment Process

June 15th

Deadline for payment of all outstanding fees.

Students will be unable to enroll if there are outstanding fees on their account.

Students are encouraged to login to the SOLUS student Center to monitor their accounts on a regular basis – monthly is recommended.

August 15th

Alternate Payment Arrangement

  • Students with a 2014-2015 OSAP entitlement will receive an automatic deferral of the September 1st, 2014 date for the amount up to the value of the OSAP entitlement;
    • September 1 – due date for amount of tuition exceeding total OSAP assessment.
    •  
    • September 30 – due date for all fees less 40% of total OSAP assessment.
    • January 31 – due date for all outstanding Fall/Winter fees.
  • Students with proof of funding from elsewhere (e.g. student loans from other jurisdictions, grants, external awards, sponsorship by third-party contracts, Band funding) must complete/submit the Alternative Payment Arrangement form by August 15th, 2014 in order to have the Late Registration Fee waived.

 

International Students:

  • Graduate students are required to self-enroll through SOLUS if they wish to participate in the Pre-Authorized Payment Plan (PPL). Banking information for a Canadian bank must be entered into SOLUS at least 1 week before the first payment withdrawal.
  • Undergraduate students may submit an Alternate Payment Arrangement for up to 50% of their tuition and other fees until January 31, 2015.

September 1st

First payment due

Tuition fees for the 2014-2015 Academic year (Fall/Winter) and any other outstanding debts will be required by September 1st, 2014.

 

Those unable to pay the full amount by September 1st, but have proof of funding from elsewhere will need to submit a completed Alternate Payment Arrangement (APA) form, with supporting documentation, by August 15th, 2014.

September 1st

Missing the deadline

A Late Fee of $150 (full-time) or $50.00 (part-time) will be assessed if;

  • Tuition is not paid in full and/or
  •  Alternate Payment Arrangement has not been submitted and approved, and/or
  • Graduate student has not enrolled into the payment plan, and/or
  • Sponsorship letter has not been submitted to the Office of the University Registrar.

September 1st

Course-related consequences for non-payment

Students will notbe able to add or swap courses if they have an outstanding charge on their account.

September 30th

All fees – Due Date

The balance of student fees and residence fees will be due on September 30th, 2014.

Beginning 

October 15th

Service Charges Assessed 

Monthly service charges will accrue based on unpaid balances as of the 15th of the month (October-August).  The rate is Prime + 3% annualized.

 

Students receiving Government aid:

  • Undergraduate students receiving OSAP will automatically receive a waiver of service charges up to 40% of the value of the OSAP entitlement provided that students process their first installment.
  • Out-of-province students who have submitted an Alternate Payment Arrangement, and are receiving government assistance, will receive a waiver of service charges up to the amount of their second installment.
