Online Application Guide

The steps below will help guide you through the online application.

There are 5 sections to complete on this application form.

Enter the appropriate information carefully before continuing on to the next section.

At any time you can click “Save and Exit” at the bottom of the screen and you can return at a later time to complete the application form.

If a field does not apply to you, you do not need to complete it: with the exception of any mandatory fields.*

Section 1 - CREATE AN ACCOUNT and COMPLETE APPLICATION

for all new users
Click CREATE ACCOUNT 

Account Security Information

  • Create and enter a password
  • Enter your email address
  • Choose a security question to which you will remember the answer

Biographical Information

The following information must be provided*:

  • Title
  • Legal Given Name
  • Legal Family Name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Telephone Number
  • Country
  • Address
  • City
  • Postal Code
  • Country of Residence

Click CREATE ACCOUNT

Write down your USER ID and Password: do not lose.
You will receive an email confirming your account.

Click CONTINUE and you will be brought directly to the application.

Click ADD APPLICATION.

Section 2 - ACADEMIC PROGRAM SELECTION

Please Choose Application Type: Queen's School Of English
Please Choose Program: English as a Second Language
Please Choose Department: School Of English
Please choose Academic Plan: choose the first term you wish to attend. 

Academic plans include:

  • English for Academic Purposes (long-term program)
  • Canadian English Experience (short-term program)
  • English for Special Purposes (tailored program, for groups only)

If you want to apply for an additional term, please select the 2nd or 3rd session.

Section 3 - ADDITIONAL PERSONAL INFORMATION

Enter your first language: Other
Enter the specific language you speak:
Indicate whether or not you are a Canadian Citizen: yes/no

  • If no, choose your country of citizenship
  • Dual citizenship does not need to be selected

Immigration status
If you are studying with a visitor visa choose Student – Other
If you are studying with a study permit choose Student – Visa

Arrival to Canada
Enter your arrival date to Canada

  • If you do not know your arrival date, enter your program start date

Click SAVE AND CONTINUE

Section 4 - CODE OF ETHICS (Brief Overview)

Academic integrity consists of honesty, trust, fairness, respect and responsibility. Queen’s students, faculty, administrators and staff have ethical responsibilities for supporting and upholding these values. The Student Code of Conduct is the standard of behaviour to which all students are held. The Computer User Code of Ethics must also be followed. 

Section 5 - HOUSING AND OTHER INFORMATION

Indicate your first, second and third accommodation choices.

Please note you will need to apply online for residence or homestay.
