QLC Student Assistants
Student Assistants work at the main Information Desk and provide a wide range of services; they answer basic questions, refer students to the learning services that meet their needs, and provide technical help with Stauffer Library computers. Student Assistants also offer several workshops throughout the year, such as Excel and Power Point. Hiring for QLC Student Assistants takes place in March and on occasion during the year. Volunteer with Learning Strategies
Learning Strategies actively recruits volunteers it the winter term (Jan-Feb) and interview in March for the following academic year.
Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs) assist with workshops, study skills seminars, drop-in sessions and facilitate Supported Learning Groups for selected first year courses. Please check the PLA Volunteer Opportunities page for details to apply.
Volunteer with The Writing Centre
Peer tutor volunteers are an important component of the Writing Centre program, extending the service the Centre offers to students in developing their writing skills and confidence. To learn more, please go to the Peer Writing Assistants page.
