Emeritus professor Ned Franks (Political Studies) comments in a Canadian Press story about Immigration Minister Joe Volpe's recent comments in the House of Commons. The story is covered in the London Free Press, Standard-Freeholder (Cornwall), Standard (St. Catharines - Niagara) , Kingston Whig-Standard, The Gazette (Montreal) and The Guardian (Charlottetown). He also continues to comment about Stephen Harper's plan to bring down the Martin government, most recently in the Hamilton Spectator.

Tom Courchene (Policy Studies) continues to comment about recent allegations by Premier McGuinty that Ontario gets a raw deal from the federal government, most recently in the Ottawa Citizen.

Professor emeritus Gerry Wyatt (Biology) comments in the Kingston Whig-Standard about swarms of midges, more abundant this year due to ideal breeding conditions.
