Will & Kate's one-year royal wedding anniversary: Queen's University expert
Queen’s University teaching fellow and royal historian Carolyn Harris is available to talk about the one year anniversary of Prince William and Kate, who were married on April 29, 2011.
Ms. Harris can talk about the pressure Kate and William are facing to have a child. She can also talk about how Kate is handling her first year as a princess compared to Princess Diana.
“Kate has been able to accompany more experienced royal women, learning on the job to some degree, whereas Princess Diana complained about feeling isolated during her first year. Kate has excelled in her new role, receiving widespread praise for her charitable patronage and engagement with ordinary people," says Ms Harris, who also blogs about the royals at www.royalhistorian.com. “Intense popular interest in royal births has always existed, particularly in times when the size of the royal family had direct political ramifications.”
