U.S. debt ceiling approved, narrowly missing global financial catastrophe: Queen's University expert

Queen’s University American politics expert Dr. Brandon Tozzo is available to comment on the approval of an increase in the debt ceiling.

The U.S. needed to reach a decision by Thursday morning to raise their $16.7 trillion debt limit or risk default.
“If the United States government did not approve of an increase in the debt ceiling, it could have led to a global financial catastrophe. America's international reputation and economic stability is on the line,” says Dr. Tozzo.
