United Nations probing chemical attacks in Syria: Queen's University expert


Queen’s University chemical weapons expert Stan Brown is available to comment on possible gas attacks in Syria. United Nations chemical weapons investigators visited Mouadamiya, a suburb of Damascus, where they met and took samples from the victims.

The UN team took blood, hair and urine samples for analysis. As a chemist, Dr. Brown can comment on the types of gas used in attacks, how dangerous they can be and the type of effects they can have. He cannot comment on the political side of the attacks.
