Statistics Canada report on chronic pain
Queen’s University professor Dean Tripp is available to discuss a report on chronic pain scheduled to be released by Statistics Canada on Wednesday, December 15 at 8:30 am. Dr. Tripp will read the report as soon as it is published and be available for phone interviews until noon.
Dr. Tripp is a professor of psychology, anesthesiology and urology and the head of the Pain Research Laboratory at Queen’s University. He has previously served as the psychology/pain management consultant for the Chronic Pain Clinic in Anesthesia. He has lectured internationally on pain, coping and disability and won the Canadian Pain Society’s 2008 Early Career Award. His research/clinical focus includes biopsychosocial mechanisms in chronic pelvic pain in men and women. He is an active member of the Canadian Pain Society and IASP.
