Silvio Berlusconi confidence vote
Queen’s University political studies professor Grant Amyot is available to talk about the confidence vote that Italy’s Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will face on Friday, Oct. 14.
Dr. Amyot feels Prime Minister Berlusconi will likely survive tomorrow's confidence vote in the Italian parliament. “Berlusconi's defeat on Tuesday on the bill approving last year's public accounts shows how fragile his majority has become. However, he seems to have nine lives and his allies and MPs are not ready to desert him yet,” says Dr. Amyot, who specializes in Italian politics and is the editor and co-author of the book The End of the Berlusconi Era?
PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Amyot is available today for interviews, but has limited availability Fri, Oct. 14 from 1 – 3 pm.
