Queen's energy expert comments on fracking in Newfoundland

2013-11-12

Queen’s University energy policy expert Warren Mabee is available to comment on the debate over fracking on Newfoundland’s west coast. There are plans to drill exploration wells near Gros Morne National Park pending government approvals. Activists are warning Newfoundland about the risks of Hydraulic fracturing.

“Do we know enough about fracking?,” says Dr. Mabee. “Advocates for and against the technology each claim to have the answers but a lack of good (and public) science would seem to dictate a cautious approach.”
