Prince Charles and Camilla visiting Canada for Queen's Diamond Jubilee

Queen’s University teaching fellow and royal historian Carolyn Harris is available to talk about today’s announcement that Prince Charles and Camilla will be visiting Canada in 2012. The couple will visit New Brunswick, Ontario and Saskatchewan. The visit is in honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

"Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee celebrations will unfold across the commonwealth in 2012. When Queen Victoria celebrated her Diamond Jubilee in 1897, the Prime Ministers of the Dominions traveled to London. In 2012, members of the royal family will travel to every nation in the commonwealth to celebrate Elizabeth II's 60 year reign,” says Ms Harris, who can talk about Diamond Jubilee celebrations and previous Royal tours of Canada.

Please note that Carolyn Harris is in Toronto and not on the Queen’s campus.
