Olympian Oscar Pistorius charged with murder: Queen's University expert


Queen’s University professor Geoff Smith is available to talk about the history of famous athletes being arrested and convicted of crimes.

South African Olympian Oscar Pistorius, who was charged with murder in the death of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, now joins a list of notorious athletes such as O.J. Simpson, Mike Tyson and Rae Carruth.

Dr. Smith is a professor emeritus of physical and health education and of history at Queen's. He taught the social and cultural history and the sociology of sport in the United States and Canada.
