New federal refugee legislation


Queen’s University law professor Sharry Aiken is available to talk about Immigration Minister Jason Kenney’s plan to present new legislation on Thursday in the House of Commons to change the refugee determination system.

Professor Aiken is an expert on immigration and refugee law, and is also the former president of the Canadian Council of Refugees. She is available to comment on any issues created by the legislation. Please note on Thursday, Feb. 16, she is teaching between 3-6 pm.
