Mayor Rob Ford has work to do to rebuild his brand: Queen's University professor

2013-11-12

Queen’s University expert in branding and business strategy Ken Wong can comment on the ongoing saga of Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. Mayor Ford is still refusing to speak to the media about the allegation he was captured smoking crack cocaine.

“The fact that Mayor Ford has already been found guilty in the court of public opinion says a great deal about his current brand,” says Professor Wong. “It also says that beyond managing this crisis he has much to do with improving his personal brand. He has to start those efforts now because in a world where content and media are so inseparable, there is little Mayor Ford can say right now to alleviate the pressure.”

Please note Professor Wong is unavailable until 4 pm Thursday, May 23.
