Mass Effect 3 video game

Queen’s University School of Computing professor Nick Graham is available to talk about Tuesday’s release of one of the most anticipated video games of the year, Mass Effect 3, which is produced by Edmonton company BioWare.

Dr. Graham is a teacher and researcher in video game development. He can talk about the game’s popularity and some of the new features, such as talking to the Kinect-based speech interface, which Dr. Graham describes as the next step in immersion in role-playing games.

“The release of Mass Effect 3 is coming hot on the heels of BioWare’s December release of a similar video game Stars Wars: The Old Republic. There is some concern that BioWare is cannibalizing their market. Are people are ready for another space-based role-playing game in the BioWare tradition?” says Dr. Graham.
